Wide Media is a creatively driven digital agency based in Sydney. Our core focus is on delivering ideas and information that effectively engages the online user. Our team of inspired consultants, creatives and developers bring to life the opportunities this exciting medium offers.

DIRECTORS

Wide Media was formed in 2006 by the three current directors. Each coming from different online areas, bringing unique experience & the skill-sets required to run a successful digital agency.

Richard Bailey - Technical Director
Richard has a masters in software development and over a decade of experience creating software and web applications. Some of Richard’s projects include building a point of sale system for Red Rooster, document management system for the mayor of London and a quality assurance system for Westpac. Richard is recognised as one of key architects on HotFrog, arguably the most successful online business directory in Australia, which is now installed in over 30 countries worldwide. Richard has the ability to make complex IT problems simple. 

Stephen Richards - Creative Director
Stephen has worked in graphic design and creative communications for the last 14 years. Previous to this he was as a successful jazz guitarist. Stephen has achieved high recognition in both print and online mediums. He has produced high-end creative work over the last few years for the likes of Discovery Channel, Healthy Kids, Universal Magazines & Sensis to name a few. Stephen has the ability to take a brief, understand your key message and create an engaging communication for your audience. 

Karl Hayes - Marketing Director
Karl has significant experience in the online industry. He was Head of Digital for The Intermedia Group from 2007 until 2012 and previously held roles as the Asia Pacific sales director of Hitwise, Sales Director and Associate Publisher at Universal Magazines. In addition Karl has worked in the advertising and media industry for over 19 years. Karl speaks regularly at online events and was on the Audit Bureau of Australia’s Digitial Watchdog Committee that sets the measurement auditing standards for websites in Australia. Karl develops high-level strategy and online marketing plans for clients.
